This album displays seven spires incredible and eclectic musical acumen and ability. It has lots of sonic highs and lows and feels like a journey. Love the concept aspect as well. Plus the juxtaposition between the different singing styles as well as smooth transitions from aggressive and dissonant guitar work to melodic and soothing breakdowns was awesome l! Overall I’m very glad I bought this album, but on the con side there were some songs that were hard to connect with. What I mean is that while the talent of this group is obvious for all to hear some of the songs didn’t connect for me, I couldn’t rock out to them. It’s almost like the music was too clever when at times all it needed was more raw energy and pace. Again, very excited for the future of this group and a very well done musical journey!
