Clearly not the guitarist, Derek. He’s a jerk. Anyway, great songs! Fun live! Drummers hot. Singers a singer. Would throw all the money at them.

This band is one that everyone needs to experience for themselves! They always put on a great show and as individuals are the most humble kind people you’ll ever meet. Can’t wait to see them live again

Been following the leader Chris Donley since the summer of 1999. This album is definitely on point with what’s cool right now. It’s evident that Mr. Donley keeps getting better and better!
  • BUY THIS ALBUM.

Critic City’s “In the Silence There is a Sound” is everything a rock album should be. From songs like “Quid Pro Quo” which is a catchy toe tapper to the heavy grooving “Honor Amongst Thieves”. Then they have an amazing cover of Starships “We Built this City”.

I love that Critic City have released a lot of covers recently, and all of them are really well done in a style that suits the band well. This release is no exception. I was surprised to learn that “We Built This City” tops many “worst songs of the 1980s” lists, but I thought the guys made it relevant again. Check out their version of that Starship classic and stick around for five other really solid original melodic hard rock tunes. “Let Go” was the standout track for me personally. Another job well done boys.
