Just Let OK

It pains me to write this review but I am almost hoping Trevor reads this. First, I am a HUGE fan of the 2 previous full length albums. I grew up on ‘80s metal and these guys really hit the spot for me. Awesome riffs and sick melodies. That’s all I need. Unfortunately this latest album feels like a batch of songs written during the first two recording sessions but just not quite good enough to make the cut. Many of the songs feel overly familiar to other songs and the riffs and melodies just don’t match up to their previous releases. It’s still good, but given the pedestal I put these guys on after the first two, this new one is a disappointment. Very few people can record 20 or 30 new songs a year (between Haunt and Beastmaker Trevor just churns out songs) and have them all be great. I would suggest taking a deep breath, maybe listening to some different styles of rock and metal, and then trying to expand your horizons a little bit. The talent is there and the first two are a testament to it but this new one is just rehashing the first two in an inferior way. Still a decent album but pales I’m comparison to the others. Still love these guys though and will continue to support them.
