I just found this band, and instantly went in on this album, and I’m really enjoying it. Alternative like this has been rather hard to find in the past few years, and I definitely see potential in the sound that diiv puts on with this album, however there is one drawback which is that there is little variation between songs, it maintains a very similar mood throughout with a couple changes, which I don’t mind very much since all the songs are enjoyable. Can’t wait to show this one around and for this band to catch more attention.

Based on these first two songs it sounds like ZCS & company have changed their sound some from their previous two efforts. The guitars are heavier and the vocals more upfront. Giving it 3 stars now and looking forward to listening to the full album when it arrives in October. DIIV’s the best rock band to emerge the past 10 years imo and I have high hopes.
