Listened to these songs my entire childhood with my mother on our old stereo cabinet’s phonograph. She loved Engelbert, so she played his records, all day, everyday. Like a Guantanamo prisoner, I couldn’t escape it! But the songs were so good, they’ve now become part of my life’s fondest memories of happier times. Tho this album is great, it doesn’t include ALL his other top songs like his ‘CLASSICS & COLLECTBLES’ album does. Here’s to you Ma, for choosing Engelbert over Tom Jones... you made the right choice. XOX. :)
