You don’t need to understand French to feel his music. I can’t believe I am so late to discover him. This album is Ten years old. 🤯

If you haven’t seen a Stromae video (YouTube) or his live concert performances do yourself a huge favour and go find them immediately (the entire Racine Carrée concert is available, with English subtitles, on his company website Mosaert.com). I love music, from classical, jazz, rock, pop and music from all over the world. I have loved many artists and albums over the years, but for a decade now I’ve loved Stromae. When his first album, Cheese, was released about 10 years ago, I heard a song from it called Alors On Dance, purely by chance. One of those YouTube rabbit hole adventures. It was the beginning of my pure love for Stromae and his music. Racine Carrée is perfection. If you speak French you’ll understand why his lyrics are so brilliant. His performances are perfection. Every song has a unique look and subject. This is his second album. It is no exaggeration to say that it’s been in my head every single day for the last 4 months, once again, even though I bought it 8 years ago when it was first released and have played it till it’s demise must be close. At that point I’ll just buy it all over again. He is charming and charismatic onstage. In his interviews he is funny, intelligent and very humble. You can’t help but fall for Stromae and his music. He is one of a kind. He lives his words. Take care, Paul. Come back soon, this fan needs more beautiful music from your brilliant mind.
