Failure is better than Failure

This is well written, well produced, polished, post 2000’s hard rock. Nice heavy riffs, nice vocal harmonies. Obviously, these guys are skilled and hats off. Three stars for effort, even though it’s not my thing. It is, however, nothing new under the sun, nothing that hasn’t been said or done in the 15 years that came before this album.
My main complaint is that their song “Failure” always shows up in the results for the legendary space rock band Failure - which is about as far from this stuff as you could possibly be within the rock genre. If you’re gonna spend money on iTunes, try checking out Failure the band rather than Failure the song. A much more complex and cerebral listen which requires some thought and consideration, left of center dissonances, thundering bass chords, shimmering arpeggiated leads reaching the stratosphere, and beautiful, beautiful harmonies that rise out the wall of sound that is difficult to believe is made by only 3 guys. I recommend Fantastic Planet especially.
