Rickie Lee Jones has always been underrated with her talent. A fine song writer and great in concert. I see her everytime she comes around to my area. I know she got one great debut album, and for the most part, underrated for her other music that came after Chuck E In Love.. The Magazine is really good, but, her masterpiece was Pirates. Please check out Pirates if you want to get acquinted with this talented woman's music.

This album was somewhat overlooked at the time of its release. The sound and songs here are a blend of what we heard on her debut and on “Pirates”, plus some less traditional tracks. The more experimental, less structured, less conventional songs come in the last half of the album. My favorites are the jazzier, more upbeat tunes like “Juke Box Fury”, “Runaround”and “The Real End”. The last of these, plus the ballad “It Must Be Love”, got some radio airplay. All in all worth checking out if you like Rickie Lee.
