This Grammy Award winning album for The Carters was an unexpected thing to drop. While at first the songs didn't really have "the hit quality" behind them they had quality, smooth vocals and ah ha moments for the deep fans. I took it as a closing to Bey's monumental Lemonade and Jay's open 4:44 albums. The songs blend together very well show that the are not just performers but artists who make art out of music.
