This is a beautiful rememberance of our mother Beverly White. She was an entertainer. She played the piano and sang. Jim White did a wonderful job capturing her music. He put his slant on it but the songs are songs our mom sang nightly. It makes me miss her more . I love the song More that he recorded with my mom singing.

I applaud THIS Jim for loving his maw like all good sons should. Hopefully that's her visage on the cover and not his. Or perhaps not. Meanwhile back at the rant.... Hopelessy resonant of a bad cheesy Elvis lounge act, I DO hope the average Jim White aficionado is savvy enough to actually audition the tracks before dl'ing. We once again run into the problem of similarly named acts being lumped together by ignorant catalogers at this beloved service To the dude who don't know who the OTHER Jim White is...welp, he is THE Jim White, perhaps the freshest, nuttiest, darkest voice in the swampy alt-country-rock scene (if he CAN be pegged) alive. Why, all ya gotta do is go up into your upper right-hand search box and type in Jim White and click on ANY other entry but this one and breathe it in. Skol!

Don't buy this if you're looking for the Jim White we know and love. This ain't it.
