You church people need to take a chill pill, who cares what the name of this CD is, it’s a great CD.

First, for those of you that think Michael Sweet or the rest of the group would actually take the lords name in vein, you are ignorant. It’s actually a really good song, i’d put it up there with to hell with the devil(song not album), its that good. Secondly, if you listen to the LYRICS, he’s talking about God damning evil, not taking the lords name in vein. When i seen the bad reviews about this, my first thought was you people dont listen to lyrics at all. And lastly, NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. Its a great album. I’ve read Michael’s book, listen to all the podcasts and he’s the last person in this world that would ever do that. Been a Stryper fan for over 30 years and i have them all.

Didn’t think Stryper could possibly get any better, yet they’ve done it once again. The sign of a great band - continually improving and perfecting their craft. Thanks so much for the awesome album Stryper, keep up the great work!

I have been a fan since 85 but I cannot stand behind all these awful album titles. The titles themselves seem deceiving to me.

The majority of the negative reviews are because of the title of the album, and have little or nothing to do with the music. Take that for what it's worth. I really like this album. Take it to the Cross is not the typical Stryper song and I'm not feeling the growling vocals, but the rest of the songs are very good. Powerful vocals, great bass licks, solid drumming, and the guitar work is alsmost flawless. Don't let the title or the artwork keep you away. Give it a shot.

It just doesn’t hold up in their catalog. I got bored quickly.

I love this album and I’ve been a fan for all my life, but the title is just wrong. More stereotypes will grow with this now. But besides that the music is great. My personal favorite song from this album is “Take it to the Cross”.

I roflao at people criticizing them for their album art & cover, etc. let’s see you rock for almost 30 years, still have it, stay relevant, and still filling arenas. People judging them and being overly judgmental rather than just merely appreciating that a band sticks to their faith and music and somehow seamlessly combines them, is why they walked away in 1991 after Against the Law. Just enjoy the damned music and be glad that stryper is still making it FOR God and US fans. Get over it. Get over yourselves. Stryper has made more inroads towards opening up the path for many bands that followed. Give them the credit due, and respect. Noted: I am not Christian and I appreciate their skill and musicianship.
