- I never tire of Judy Collins

From the first time I heard Judy’s voice, I was captivated!!!
I haven’t found anyone else to match that feeling. I love other singers, but as far as I am concerned she’s number ONE!
I would give five stars, but the thing wouldn’t allow me. Blessings

Fantastic! Only an armchair critic cares about perfect vocals and overproduced bull****! How lovely....the bare vocal essentials and timelessness of these two - a rare treat - fortunate for those whose lives were graced by their earlier years. On the far side of this era, where my Dad filled our home with Collin's vocals, as rich and haunting as year's past. A rare treat!

The choice of songs is mostly great, but the duets are too often strained rather than being a rich blend. “So Begins the Task” has both voices working well enough together, but “Handle with Care” is an example of Stills’ voice being flat and conflicting with Collins’. It’s a good thing she carries “Who Knows Where the Time Goes” on her own, Stills just carrying a nice guitar accompaniment, because that touching song might have been mangled otherwise. Collins still has a lovely voice when she doesn’t push it too much, but Stills just can’t deliver the vocals he once could. He sounds a bit ravaged, monotone and without much range, marring the vocal blend we might have expected years ago.

The only negative is I wish they had done this album 20 years ago when my hearing was much better. The choice of songs, arrangement and their take on it is marvelous.

Judy and Stephen have earned their high place in musical history. I appreciated seeing them perform live in Beverly Hills, and I really enjoy the album. They bring new angles to some of their original tunes and remind me of what great artists they are when they perform Leonard Cohen's work. They've been relevant in the industry for over 50 years for a reason.
- A pleasure

but they don't really improve on the orginal versions.

Judy Collins sounds amazing for 78. Heck, she sounds great for 58. Unfortunately, Stephen Stills hasn't fared as well. Apparently, he's nearly deaf which obviously affects your singing. Collins really carries the vocals; two of the songs are solos for her (Houses and Who Knows Where The Time Goes) and she's generally carrying the melody for the rest of the album. I'm not sure they were ever that great of a vocal pairing as Collins' gentle voice isn't that suited to the rock music that Stills devoted his career to. And Collins' catalog seems too tame for Stills. Certainly this album is a sentimental journey. Long time fans who can overlook the shortcomings will appreciate the ride.
- Absolutely beautiful together!!

This is a wonderful moment in the lives of Stephen Stills and Judy Collins. The music is heartfelt and pure. The execution is bonded between them.
It is their gift to themselves and to us.
- Superb just so good

This album is so great. They are so FN AWESOME together. So stripped down and just chill. The most natural duets I’ve heard in years. Like the best CSN with Judy. Blown away.
