A roots reggae classic. If you like reggae, and you don't have this album, buy it now. Genius production by Lee Perry. Story is he blew ganja smoke on the master tape as it was recording. He also put soil, white rum, and blood on it. What was the effect? More murkiness that actually adds to the vibe of this album. A 40 year-old album will challenge your 21st sensabilities about a clean, pure sound being vital to a recording. Give me this album/sound over the sterile digital recordings done today.
