I love Enterprise Earth, but this album seems a little too...uniform. There's really no "new" groundbreaking features to this album

It's was two years ago that Enterprise Earth released their debut album "Patient 0", and if I'm being completely honest, I really didn't care for it all that much. The more I researched on it I figured out that a lot of the reactions towards the album seemed to be fairly mixed. Many considered Patient 0 to be a masterpiece, a technical Deathcore phenomenon rife with sophistication and complexity, and one that catered to Dan Watson's vocal style far better than Infant Annihilator ever could. On the other hand there were people like me who felt that the album was fairly weak and didn't deliver the bone crushing heaviness and raw energy that the aforementioned Infant Annihilator's debut album "The Palpable Leprosey of Pollution" has, and thought Dan's vocal abilities weren't being fully utilized. Fast forward to 2017, and everything I thought I knew about This powerhouse band from Spokane has been utterly and completely disproven with the release of their sophomore effort "Embodiment". First off, this album is B to the RUTAL!!! It has SOO much more aggressive energy than Patient 0 had, with breakdowns so catastrophically devastating it will make your feeble little skull collapse in on itself! Still chock full of the soft yet atmospherically beautiful technical riffing and melodic ambience, like in the opening track "Shroud of Flesh" and the ROS inspired technical passage in "Embrace the Ashes", only this time around there is WAY more than enough brutality and bone crushing frenetic aggression to keep me satisfied and going back for more again and again. Take my favorite track "Mortem Incarnatum" for example, there is so much face punching chug laden brutality it's insane, and after only a few listens I often find myself chanting the words MORTEM...IN-CAR-NA-TUM all day long. Also the track "Temptress", while sticking to the ambient technical formula, exhibits quite a tasty little slam section that makes me write in ecstasy. Let's not forget perhaps the most devastating track, the closer, "Deathwind", which has a breakdown towards the end that's so powerful, so apocalyptically destructive, that your children, and your children's children will be born with scoliosis. It goes without saying that I'm a stickler for uber dank breakdowns, it's the foundation for a great Deathcore album, so it's very refreshing to see Enterprises Earth incorporate so much more of it in this album, while still maintaining their strong sense of maturity and technical complexity as well. I also feel like I can truly appreciate Dan Watson behind the mic every bit as much as I did when he was with Infant Annihilator. His sickeningly sinister scratchy vocal style has never sounded more alive and full of unbridled hatred. My friends not only is this the best Deathcore album of the year so far, it's one of the best I've EVER heard!!!!
Top 5 tracks:
1) Mortem Incarnatum
2) Deathwind
3) Temptress
4) Shroud of Flesh
5) Father of Abortion
- On point!!

This record is by far their best release to date. It is a masterpiece. Every song is perfection, the guitar work, drum work, and vocals are unlike anything I've heard before. They out did patient zero by a long shot, perfecting their already amazing sound.
- Best album yet.

They have improved immensely (thought it was impossible, right?). This is a huge step up from anything else they have released in the past and Dan fits in with this band WAY more than infant annihilator. This album is a must buy and will probably be the best album of 2017, deathcore-wise... But I'll wait to hear Oceano's new album on May 19, before I make that decision (;
- Dan Watson doesn't fit

Vocals overpower the entire record, his band cannot compliment him enough, dry stale, and predictable. He's too good for this tired sound
