With or Without You - Single

When I first heard April’s voice during the Olympic Skating with Canada, I went directly to iTunes hoping they’d have it. I am very wary when it comes to current artists singing classics such as “With or Without You”. Like Disturbed did with the song “The Sound of Silence”, April made it her own with a different emotion without taking away the spirit from the original artist. April herself said singing this song brought back painful memories, but she was able to see the performance in South Korea from the stands and seemed to be in awe, peace, and a little bit of the school girl ‘giddiness’. Thank you April for sharing your beautiful gift to the world! 💗

April Meservy's voice and piano playing soft, subtle, and inviting. Her cover of this U2 classic brings back memories, yet she adds to the song to give it another dimension. Superb song from a superb artist!

When my friend first sent me this track I was initially skeptical because, hey, who can touch the original?!? I think most of us understand that a cover can either be really bad or really good, and this one moved me to tears, in a really good way. Great cover!
