Clocks is an outlet for an entirely alternate universe that I cannot describe. I feel so viscerally touched by the vocals, piano keys, and smooth background drums. I first heard this song when I was 5 and that’s when I was introduced to Coldplay. I love the band and this song is very special to me, personally.

This album is a masterpiece and has no filler songs. This album will stand the test if time and will be played a thousand years from now. I long for the day when Coldplay put out music like this.

In Coldplay's sophmore album "A Rush of Blood to the Head," the band manages to dish out more good music, while also creating a more cohesvie set of songs, making this album just as good, if not better than "Parachutes." "Politik" 9/10 The opening piano on this song is so good, and really sets up the album to be something grand (This song is also really fun to play on the piano, I'll give it that). "In My Place" 6/10 Outshined by the preceding song,"In My Place" is still good, just perhaps not the best on the album. "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" 9/10 Chilling, creepy, and outright foreboding, this song is very good. Reminding you that God gave you the ability to smile, while also being something else entirely, this song deserves to be up there with the rest of the greats on this album, even if it's often overlooked. "The Scientist" 8/10 A somewhat sad song reminiscing on a lost love, "The Scientist" is a song even non-Coldplay fans have probably heard at least once. Not bad. "Clocks" 8/10 This song and "The Scientist" aren't the best songs on the album, but they're the most well known. The piano thoughout this song is good, and the lyrics are interesting and something I will always remember. "Daylight" 7/10 One of the lower points on the album (even though it's still good), "Daylight" has some good chords. It's just some basic Coldplay, nothing special. "Green Eyes" 8/10 A sweet love song to someone with green eyes. It's really, really good. Trust me on this one. "Warning Sign" 8/10 Opening chords on this are really good. And the chorus is phenomonal too. "A Whisper" 6/10 It's just Chris Martin saying "A Whisper" over and over again backed with some music. Not bad, but not great either. "A Rush of Blood to the Head" 9/10 Just as good as "Politik", the title track's chorus is something to remember. "He said I'm gonna by a gun and start a war, if you can tell me something worth fighting for." So good! "Amsterdam" 10/10 The closing song on this album is the best, with some good falsetto and piano at the beginning, and some awesome callouts for someone to help at the end. The pinnacle of this album most definetly.
