Wonderful choral arrangement, so strong and rich with the drones in the background on ‘ANANDA MA’ and also on ‘LOKAH’! The percussion on ‘ALL IS BLISS’ is really so effective coupled with the chant style of chorus singing, fantastic piece of arrangement! ‘AMMA’S CHILD’ has a comforting feel and is very stylish too, the arpeggios and vocals on ‘SHIVO HUM’ are extraordinary, and what a soft feel of thanksgiving on ‘CLOSING PRAYERS’!

To say that this album moved me would be an understatement. This entire album is an experience beyond the aural sense, and it begins with the dedication on the CD. I felt a quiver on my bottom lip as I read the very personal story of Paul and his wife trying to get pregnant. Everything from the blessing to the day their beautiful daughter was born, demonstrates the honesty and devotion in this moving music. My first listening experience was in my car as I headed for a tense meeting. By the time I arrived at my destination, I felt significantly lighter and so present in the moment. The stress I felt anticipating the meeting had melted away completely. There is real healing power in this music. Paul's expertise in creating sonic textures to soothe the busy mind never ceases to amaze me. I highly recommend being washed with the sounds of Amma.

What an offering! Beautiful, lush, relaxing and reflective…with sublime, rich harmonies throughout…GRAMMY® Winner, Paul Avgerinos lends his heartfelt vocals on all 11 songs…in addition to flawless Producing, Engineering, Bass, Guitar, Keyboards AND Sound Design! This wonderful blend of Kirtan / New Age / World is a gracious collection of original compositions (excepting #8 “Moola Mantra” melody by Kosmic Music)…including Bansuri and Percussion arrangement from fellow GRAMMY® Winning artist and composer, Ricky Kej on #9 “Shivo Hum”. My personal favorites? #2 “Ananda Ma”, #7 “Amma’s Child”, and #10 “Amma’s Mantra”…Thank you, Paul, for your gift. ~ Catharine Wood

A wonderful flowing array of music making the listener feel one with the divine mother and the universe. I personally love Namaha the most but each song has a unique flavor. I believe Paul Avgerinos needs to make room on his trophy shelf for another Grammy award!

This impressive new album from Grammy winner Paul Avgerinos is dedicated to his guru - the Hindu spiritual leader and “Divine Mother” Amma. Lending his voice to every track, and with eight of the 11 tracks sung in Sanskrit, the leading New Age composer and multi-instrumentalist Paul Avgerinos has created another masterpiece of soothing tranquility and serene radiance, which mesmerizes with rich layers and new frontiers of artistic and musical expression. Beautifully performed and recorded, this is a highly recommended album!

At first listen one can tell this is a high production release. I personally enjoy Indian music not only because I am a disciple of yoga & spirituality but also as a musician some of my favorites like John Coltrane and Charlie Mariano have fused jazz with Indian music. Paul has done an amazing job and one gets the sense that he was highly inspired in the making of this music which I think is paramount. Whether simply lounging around the house , Entering into downward facing dog, bouncing around town in your car, the sounds on this release will relax you and elevate your spirit. A must have.

While so often New Age and Ambient genres tend to be light on substance, Paul Avgerinos - as I've come to expect of him - is both substance and light. If a Monet painting of his famous lily pad gardens sounded like anything, it would be this album of devotional prayers. The music opens like a lotus (or shall we say lily pad?), quiet, intense; their own universe. Paul's sweet, reverent vocals are center of these prayers, surrounded by the softest, loveliest percussion and female vocals - even sensual in its rapture. Paul as both the exceeding accomplished musician he is, and now more confident and excellent vocalist, evokes humility and quiet joy. Tracks like All is Bliss awaken the mind, with bright guitars and slow syncopation, Lokah with beautiful uplifting vocals, while Amma's Child is perhaps the heart and soul of the album - a sweet devotional, lullaby. What a blissful gift. Monet would be proud.
