I have been a huge fan of Michael's music for the last 15 years or so. This album is filled with truth, pain, struggle and remorse and is written from the heart. I am still very partial to his self titled album from many years ago, but this one might be his best one yet. Willow Springs, the opening cut, rambles on for seven minutes in Dylan-esque fashion, think, a slower paced Subterranean Homesick Blues,with some of Michael's most biting lyrics he has ever written. It is a gem. Other highlights include One Minus One, a beautifully dark love song and Shadow in the Window, where he tries to reconcile his feelings with the passing of his father. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up...you will not regret doing so...
