Years in the making, this album has delivered on every level I could have imagined it to and more. Emily Wells is my Mozart, my William Blake—a true poet and composer. Philosophically driven and devastating in her compositions, she is truly one of a kind. This album is extremely melancholy, more so than her previous. The first few songs are somewhat light sounding; but it is a facade for their inner demons. But by the time you reach the song “Antidote” you will be on a road to no return. This album is my antidote. It has become my everything; she breathes into me with the cacophony of strings that so willing bind me. Bravo Emily, I write this as a true thank you for such gorgeous music. PLEASE continue to do what you do. The most important thing I’ve gathered, is that “light is drainin”… And all we want is to stay alive.
