It’s still hard for me to imagine that someone this talented even exists on earth. Collier’s sense of harmonic and part writing are masterful at least. This “neo-acapella” style that he’s been exploring is changing how I view music. As for this piece, he’s done an absolutely stellar job at treating the melody like the king it is whilst still introducing soulful, jazzy and classical, and even middle ages inspired elements into this work. Well done! Well done! Well done!
