The Derek Trucks Band

Truly one of the most tasteful, talented, and genuine guitarists that's a nice breath of fresh air away from the ever-popular metal guitar that I can't stand.

This album kills, just like all the others. I was fortunate enough to meet Derek backstage at one of the recent shows with Clapton (one of the most approachable/humble rock stars you will ever meet). He absolutely overshadowed Eric with his guitar prowess....no question, he is the best slide player you will ever hear. Derek Trucks is a living legend not even at his peak, he will blow your mind and leave you standing numb, speechless, and in awe (steals your face with ease!)...listen to everything you can that has Derek involved. There isn't a word to describe how incredible his playing is...this IS the reincarnation of Duane's playing...and then some!

Wow !! Who is this guy playing with Eric Clapton on the 2007 tour. Derek Trucks is an amazing guitarist, playing without a pick. Outstanding !!

I own a tattoo shop in Biloxi , Mississippi , when I first heard this young guy I thought it was Duane Allman resurected . I was lucky enough to see him live at a little hole in the wall club on the back bay here. I couldnt believe what I was hearing out of a kid so young, but look who he was raised around . This young man is a genius in his own right and dosnt have to take a back seat to anybody . And the band was as tight as you could possibly ask for . They're as good live as they are in the studio. Hope he'll come play at Barking Dog Tattooz one day in Gulfport. Truly a class act .

When I first heard this recording of Mr. PC over two years ago, I was convinced that it was the Allman Brothers themselves. Outstanding compositions that embody the heart of jazz fusion.

This album along with all of his other stuff is quite possibly some of the best guitar in the world today...Derek plays rythmic as well as slide guitar and is top notch in accompaning the other members of this band....This album is a must for all Trucks fans!!!

this is an excellent album and a great mix of rock improvisation, jazz, almost fusion at its best. This is a pleasure to listen to and I can only recommend this recording. It is unfortunate that the band doesn't tour more across the US.
